Cold water waiting for you every morning, no ice run and no drive to the gym. Most portable cold plunge kits ship a 1/3 HP chiller that gives up once your garage passes 85°F, and the habit goes with it. This inflatable cold plunge tub comes with a 1/2 HP chiller instead, and holds a true 39°F right through summer.

  • A 1/2 HP chiller, not the usual 1/3 HP. Holds a true 39°F even when the garage hits 100°F, which is where lighter units stall out.
  • Inflatable by design, not by compromise. Five-layer drop-stitch construction goes rock hard when inflated, then packs into a backpack when you want the patio back.
  • No freight truck, no appointment, no install. Rigid tubs arrive by freight and never move again. Yours arrives by regular carrier and sets up in 30 minutes.
  • The plumbing is done for you. An upgraded 1100 GPH pump, hoses pre-cut and quick-connect fittings hand-assembled in San Diego, so there is nothing to glue, saw or source.
  • Fits users up to 6'7". 98 gallons, XL footprint, insulated locking cover included.

Everything arrives in one order: the tub, the 1/2 HP chiller, the pump, a metal mesh debris filter and the pre-assembled plumbing, plus the air pump, backpack and repair kit. No extra parts to buy.

We're a small family business in San Diego. We cut, assemble and pressure test every connection kit by hand, and we stand behind every system that leaves the bench. Free shipping, 30-day returns, a 1-year warranty on the chiller, and a real person to call if anything goes wrong.

Inflate it, plug it in, and plunge at 39°F the same day.

Shipping & delivery

Free Shipping (Lower 48 States)

No freight truck, no delivery appointment, no $300 shipping surcharge. Your kit arrives in three regular parcels with three tracking numbers: the connection kit from our bench in San Diego, the chiller and tub direct from the factory. Everything lands within a week.

Here's exactly what to expect:

  • Day 0: Order confirmed You'll receive an order confirmation email immediately. We begin preparing your custom connection kit in our San Diego, CA shop.
  • Days 3-5: Box 1 arrives first (from San Diego) Your connection kit ships directly from our hands to yours. This box contains your pump, hoses, quick-connect fittings, and your complete step-by-step setup guide and video link. So you're fully prepared and ready to build the moment your chiller and tub arrive.
  • Days 5–7: Box 2 & Box 3 arrive (from manufacturer) Your chiller (~40 lbs) and your XL insulated tub ship directly from the factory. These two packages may arrive on the same day or within a day of each other.
  • Setup Day: 30 minutes to your first plunge Once all 3 boxes are in hand, follow the included video guide. No plumber, no contractor, just a wrench and a flat-head screwdriver. Inflate, connect, fill and plug in.

3 Tracking Numbers

The moment each package ships, you'll receive a separate tracking number by email. You'll always know exactly where every component is. No surprises.

Why does it ship this way?

Because shipping a 40-lb chiller from California to your door would cost $200–$300 on its own. By routing the heavy items directly from the manufacturer and assembling your precision connection kit locally, we eliminate that cost entirely and pass the savings to you.

Returns & Warranty

Try it at home for 30 days

Use it for up to 30 days. If it isn't right for you, email support@tempdroplabs.com and we'll send a return label. You get the full price back, minus the label cost, and a $75 fee if the tub has been filled. Filled tubs must come back cleaned and dried, and kits are returned as a complete set. Arrived damaged or defective? We cover everything.

Warranty

  • Chiller: 1-year manufacturer warranty. We handle the claim for you.
  • Connection kit: 1-year warranty on the pump, hoses and fittings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this inflatable? Will it feel cheap?

Absolutely not. This tub is built with Drop Stitch Technology, the same material used in military-grade inflatable boats and high-end paddleboards.

  • When inflated to 11 PSI, it becomes rock hard. You can sit on the rim, stand on it, and lean against it without it bending. It feels like a solid structure, not a balloon.

Why 1/2 HP when most kits ship 1/3 HP?

Because the chiller decides whether any of this works, and it is the part almost every kit under $700 economizes on.

Horsepower here is not really about how cold the water gets. Both sizes will reach 39°F. It is about margin. A 1/3 HP unit has none, so it pulls down slowly and then runs close to flat out to stay at temperature. That gives you more hours on the compressor, more noise in the garage, and a higher power bill for the same water.

The 1/2 HP in this kit has headroom. It cools faster, cycles less, and spends most of its life idling rather than straining.

In a hot garage the difference is obvious, because a 1/3 HP unit stops holding temperature once the room passes about 85°F. In a mild one it is quieter, but it still shows up on your power bill and in how long the unit lasts.

It is one of the two parts we refuse to cheapen. The other is the plumbing, which we cut, assemble and pressure test by hand.

How is this different from a $600 kit online?

Mostly the two parts that fail first on cheap kits: the plumbing and the chiller.

A $600 kit usually ships a coil of hose and a bag of barbs for you to cut and fit yourself, and those joints are where leaks start. Ours arrives cut, assembled and pressure tested by hand in San Diego before it ships.

Then the chiller. Cheap kits ship 1/3 HP, which holds 39°F in a cool garage and struggles once the room passes 85°F. Ours is 1/2 HP, so it still has headroom in summer.

The rest follows from that: an upgraded 1100 GPH pump instead of a starter one, five layers of insulation instead of one, and a real person to call if anything goes wrong.

Will it hold 39°F where I live?

Yes. In fact, that is a main reason we started Temp Drop Labs. We know that standard 1/3 HP chillers often fail when the garage hits 95°F+. Our kit uses an oversized 1/2 HP compressor specifically to overcome high ambient heat and keep your water at 39°F, even during the summer.

Can I move it or take it with me?

Yes, and that is most of the point. Drain it, deflate it, and the tub packs into the included backpack. The chiller is a two-hand carry. Figure about 20 minutes to break the whole setup down.

That matters if you rent, if you move, or if you just want the patio back for a weekend. A rigid tub arrives on a freight truck and stays exactly where the driver left it.

What if I want a rigid tub later?

Then keep the chiller. It runs on standard fittings and is not locked to our tub, so it will cool a stock tank, a barrel, or most rigid shells you buy down the road.

The tub is the cheap half of this setup. The chiller is the part doing the work, and it comes with you. Plenty of people start here, decide the habit is permanent, and upgrade the vessel a year in. That is a sensible way to do it.

Is the kit hard to set up?

Not at all. Each kit includes a step-by-step guide and setup video. Most users complete installation in under 30 minutes, with no plumbing experience required.

Watch the full setup, start to finish.

What maintenance is required to keep water clean?

Keeping your water clean is simple if you follow a routine. The kit includes a metal mesh debris filter between the tub and the pump, so hair and debris get caught every time the water circulates, before they reach the chiller. The rest is just basic water chemistry.

We recommend using our Water Maintenance Kit (featuring Sirona Spa Care & Hydrogen Peroxide) and following this schedule:

  • Day 1 (Initial Fill): Once full, follow the instructions on the Sirona Sanitizer bottle to add the starting dose. Then, pour in 1/2 cup of Hydrogen Peroxide to "shock" the water and lock in clarity.
  • Weekly: Rinse the mesh filter and add a maintenance dose of Sirona Sanitizer (as directed on the bottle) to keep bacteria at bay.
  • Quarterly: Drain and refill. Since the tub is efficient (98 gallons), this is quick to do with a standard garden hose.
  • Pro Tip: Always keep the insulated cover locked when not in use. This blocks sunlight (which causes algae) and keeps debris out.

Can I use the plunge outdoors?

Absolutely, the system is designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
Just make sure it’s placed on a flat surface, protected from direct rain, and plugged into a GFCI outlet.

Does the plunge run quietly?

Quiet enough for a garage, patio or home gym. It is a compressor, so you will hear it running, but it is closer to a fridge than an air conditioner.

  • Step 1: Inflate

Floor pump included. Three minutes to 11 psi and the walls go rock hard.

  • Step 2: Connect

Two quick-connect fittings, a wrench and a flat-head screwdriver. Hoses arrive pre-cut and assembled. No glue, no cutting, no hardware-store run.

  • Step 3: Plug in and set 39°F

GFCI Outlet. It pulls down to temperature and holds it. First plunge the same day

My only regret was not getting this cold plunge sooner. As a college athlete I was in the market for a cold plunge to help me during my off season workout and conditioning without breaking the bank. When I saw this deal it was too good to pass up and honestly I was a little skeptical of purchasing just because of how low the price was but I was beyond surprised. The instruction video was so easy to follow and the set up time was so fast. The quality is great, I can’t tell the difference between this cold plunge compared to the one we use in the trainers room

Cold plunge works extremely well and was really simple to set up. I've been using it for a couple months now and couldn't be happier, it is just as good, if not better, as any other brand out there, I live in Texas and it has no trouble keeping the water in the low 40s, even with the summer heat. I also got the maintenance kit and the water stays clear and clean for weeks. I cold plunge every day before work and gives me such a good boost in the mornings. I would recommend this cold plunge set up to anyone.

This cold plunge is the best thing I've gotten in a long time. It arrived quickly and the instruction were clear and easy to follow. I keep it at 45 degrees and helps me recover much quicker. I shopped around for other brands but ended up getting this one and I am super happy with it, I give this plunge a 10/10,
